True, he was better. Not 100% there yet, but here's the great part for fans:

he stopped 19 of 21 shots for a .905 save percentage and the team STILL won.

Good team effort overall, wouldn't you say?

Didn't wanna go there... most choose not to, but I think it's becoming clearer with each passing game...

He doesn't need to steal every game, just need to make the key saves when it matters. Once the offense dies down and it will, he will be counted on to win those 1-0, 2-1 games as usual. We all know he can and will win his share of games, at least he gets the offensive output early on

Allow me to add to that: the Habs also have a capable 1B goaltender- can we call him that yet?- who can also steal games when the time comes.

It was pretty clear to me when it happened.

Martin too, if I recall.

Since I saw that video of PK in the room and the face of the other players, it was clear most found him very annoying.

But there’s something different about this edition of the team. Anyone who spends any amount of time around the Habs knows that the atmosphere within the locker room has drastically improved, and there is presently a sense of unity that seemed to dissipate with every mounting loss last season.

laying it on a bit thick here. i can promise you that if this team goes into a 4-month freefall the atmosphere in the locker room will be just as poopty as it was last year. let's remember that 5 games into last season you would have written the exact same thing. and the year before that. and the year before that.

the team looks good and is coming together but i just find those sweeping generalizations a bit quick on the draw.

Especially Pacioretty. Wow, the look of being unimpressed was perfectly defined at that very moment.

Nope, sorry sir. He has done a good job at replacing Price for a few games which is exactly what the Habs wanted from a backup goalie, aka a #2 goalie.

Looks like we have a solid #2. I hate the 1a, 1b poop, that's assuming Price could lose his job at any moment which is not the case. We have one of the best #1 and a great #2, that's the best situation the Habs can have in net

Condon was out of the NCAA though, Montoya has a lot more NHL experience.

not planning the funeral, just saying I expect more from the top 6. The bottom 6 has been very good so far so you can't count on these guys to do that regularly. I am just expecting more from the Galchenyuk and Plek lines, that's it.

i think the Galchenyuk line will score a ton, eventually. Plekanec line... i dunno. im starting to agree that maybe Desharnais might be a better fit there. and not because i think he's a good fit, more that Plekanec looks useless offensively.
